Dorcathispa alternata is a species of beetle of the family Chrysomelidae. It is found in Angola, Congo, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
