Poo composed an email to Case using Gmail in January 2025 with the subject 'It's Been 17 Months'. What he composed was the very first, and most recognizable, quote from the franchise. Poo portrays Andy, a father seeking his wife who mysteriously left 517 days ago. Case portrays Stefanie, the wife and mother who left.

Plot summary

On June 24th, 2026, Andy sends a letter, or email, to Stefanie, his wife. Stefanie left 517 days ago to go get orange juice from the grocery store. Andy and Stefanie have a child named Rupert, who Andy often mentions during the emails. Andy is aware Stefanie left somewhere in the north, however he thinks she went to paint the scenery. Stefanie plays along with what Andy is saying, but Andy quickly catches on that Stefanie is working for an evil corporation run by Anthony7. Stefanie leaves Andy for Brian. It is revealed in the end Stefanie plotted all of this because of a Thanksgiving dinner hookup between Andy and Jenkins, her brother. Jenkins dies of a drug overdose on June 9th, 2033. The emails end with Andy and Stefanie agreeing to go their own ways.

Spinoffs

Two similar email spinoffs have been created by Hills and Van, one for Rupert and his boyfriend, Harold, and one for Jenkins and his ex-wife, Raven.

17 Months is the on-going novel being written by Andy Poo and is part of the 17 Months franchise. As of April 23, 2025, it sits at 13,307 words.

Plot Summary

In February 2018, Andy meets up with his high school friend, Jenkins at a bar in San Diego. Jenkins's sister, Stefanie, joins them later in the day. Andy, Jenkins and Stefanie take a road trip to Las Vegas after stopping at a friend's house in Los Angeles. Two weeks later, Stefanie finds out she is pregnant, and the baby is Andy's. Jenkins meets his future wife in Las Vegas, Raven. They get married over the summer. Later that year, Stefanie gives birth to Rupert, her child. Andy and Stefanie raise Rupert together. In November 2019, Stefanie discovers an affair between Andy and Jenkins during Thanksgiving Dinner, they day before Andy and Stefanie are supposed to get married. Stefanie continues with the wedding and draws up a plan to "ruin Andy's life". In January 2020, Stefanie separates from Andy. Raven divorces Jenkins and goes back to Dallas as he starts to do hard drugs.

A spin-off titled "Raven on the Ranch" documenting Raven after her break up with Jenkins is in the works.

The 17 Months Soundtrack is an album by 17 Months, based off of the plot of the franchise. Jenkins, Is That Cocaine?, was released as the lead single. Thanksgiving Dinner was released shortly after alongside a lyric video. A music video for Jenkins, Is That Cocaine? was released a week later.^[5]

17 Months: How Andy and Stefanie Met is an animated short film directed and animated by Raystar Animations which features music by British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. It is based off the first chapter in the 17 Months novel written by Andy Poo.

A Wikipedia Love Story is a short spin-off story of the 17 Months novel, written by Ray Star and Emo Babygoth. A trailer for an accompanying animated short film directed and animated by Andy Poo was released on YouTube, featuring music by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.

Andy Jason Trove (born January 23, 1994) is the main protagonist in the 17 Months franchise. His character is based off Andy Poo, one of the creators of the 17 Months franchise.

Personal Life

Andy was born to his father and his mother, Alabama Jiggletits, in San Diego, California. He went to Garfield High School where he met Jenkins. He met his wife, Stefanie, at a bar in his hometown. Stefanie gave birth to their child, Rupert, later that year, and married the next year. On his birthday in 2025, Stefanie left him and Rupert. Though Stefanie and Andy were separated and not officially divorced, Andy began to date Jenkins later that year. Jenkins and Andy never married. Andy is bisexual.

Andy attended The University of San Diego with Jenkins and Stefanie.

Stefanie Rachel Driver (born June 6, 1994) is one of the main protagonists in the 17 Months franchise. Her character is based off Stair Case, one of the creators of 17 Months franchise.

Personal Life

Stefanie was the second born to her mother and father in Seattle, Washington after her older brother, Jenkins. At 11 years old, her parents divorced and she moved with her mother and brother to San Diego, California. She lived with her father in Seattle during the summer.

In 2018, Stefanie met Andy in a bar in San Diego, a man who she would later marry. She gave birth to Andy's and her child, Rupert, later that year. A day before her wedding with Andy, at Thanksgiving dinner at her parents' house, she witnessed a hook-up between Andy and her brother, Jenkins. She then created a plan to "ruin his life". On Andy's birthday in 2025, she left him and bought the apartment above Andy's. She officially divorced Andy in 2030 and started dating Brian. Stefanie is heterosexual.

She attended Garfield High School in San Diego. After graduating she attended the University of San Diego with her brother and Andy.

Jenkins Jonathan Driver (July 4, 1993 - June 9, 2033) was one of the main protagonists in the 17 Months franchise. He was Stefanie's brother and Andy's boyfriend.

Personal Life

Jenkins was born to his mother and father in Seattle, Washington. His sister, Stefanie was born the year after him. When he was 12 years old, his parents divorced. His mother moved to San Diego, California where Jenkins and Stefanie went to school and lived for most of the year. He lived with his father during the summer.

Jenkins attended Garfield High School for five years. He was held back and had to repeat Grade 11, as he failed all of his classes except Physical Education. Jenkins smoked cigarettes and marijuana during this time. He met Andy in Grade 12 history. Jenkins then attended the University of San Diego with his sister and Andy, however he dropped out after two years. He got a part time job as a cashier.

In 2018, he went on a road trip with his sister and Andy to Las Vegas, where he met his wife, Raven. They married later that year. In 2019, Jenkins and Andy hooked up in a bathroom during Thanksgiving dinner, the day before Andy's wedding. Jenkins and Raven lived a peaceful life together until 2025, when Jenkins started doing hard drugs, including ketamine, cocaine and heroin, as he was struggling with his sexuality, anxiety and depression. He also had suicidal thoughts. Raven left Jenkins that year. After that, Andy and Jenkins dated until his death in 2033. Jenkins was bisexual.

Death

Jenkins was found dead at 4:32 AM (PDT) on June 9th, 2033 in his burning San Diego home by first responders. The fire was quickly put out before they found his body, collapsed on the ground in his kitchen. It was originally believed an accidental fire started in his home, killing him as well, however it was later revealed in an autopsy and a home search he overdosed on heroin. The fire was caused by a wooden spoon left on a lit stove. It is unknown if Jenkins purposely overdosed in order to commit suicide or if he set his home on fire. Andy, his boyfriend at the time of his death, believed it was intentional, as he was always careful and had built up a tolerance for heroin. He mentioned how Jenkins suffered with depression and had suicidal thoughts, blaming Jenkins's sister and his ex-wife, Stefanie.

Rupert Hobert Trove-Driver Hall (born October 27, 2018) is the son of Andy and Stefanie in the 17 Months franchise.

Personal Life

Rupert was born to Andy and Stefanie in San Diego, CA. He is an only child. At seven years old, his mother left him and his father to work for Anthony7. In 2032, Rupert met Harold, his boyfriend, at his first year of high school at Garfield High School. Rupert has depression, anxiety and PTSD.

Rupert is gay. It is revealed in the Rupert & Harold email spinoff that he struggled with self-identity and that he got "his gay genes from his dad", who was dating Jenkins at the time. He had a crush on Harold, a classmate who would soon be his boyfriend.

Ramona Sanders (born May 4, 1994), known more commonly as Raven, is the ex-wife of Jenkins Driver in the 17 Months franchise.

Personal Life

Raven was born to her parents in Dallas, Texas in 1994. She left Dallas and moved to Las Vegas at the age of 19. After meeting Jenkins three years later, she moved to San Diego with him for two years, before moving back to Dallas after their breakup. In Dallas, she meets Carter Weston, who she eventually marries.

Harold Trove-Driver Hall (born February 14, 2018) is Rupert's husband.

Brian Johnson Whilliam Camensky (born March 5, 1995), also known as Brain, is Stefanie's partner. Their character is based off Raystar Animations, the director of 17 Months: How Andy and Stefanie Met. They are genderfluid.

Alabama J-Trove (born January 4, 1910) also known simply as J, is Andy's mother.

Anthony Sullivan, more commonly known as Anthony7, is the leader of The Arctic North, a self-proclaimed evil corporation whose motive is unknown. Anthony7 works with his fellow leaders.

Sarah Hall (born March 3, 2010) is Harold's sister.

Cheryl Driver is Stefanie and Jenkins's aunt. She is vegetarian.

Carter Weston, Raven's boyfriend following her divorce with Jenkins.
