Draft:2026 Iran war intelligence

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A US intelligence report a week before the war found that even a large-scale assault launched by the US on Iran is unlikely to trigger regime collapse. The intelligence report did not appear to include alternative options, such as a possible ground operation by US forces.[1] On 6 March, it was reported that Russia has been providing Iran with intelligence on the locations of American warships and aircraft.[2][3][4] Some sources have reported that a private Chinese company called Mizarvision has been tracking American military deployments with great accuracy using their satellite imagery, which has attracted attention from security watchers, some have described this as a move by China to monitor the situation and potentially aid Iran.[5][6]
