History

Background

AFC Solihull were founded in 2012.[2] They joined the Midland League structure in 2015–16, entering Division Three from the Stratford Alliance.[3]

Midland Football League

The club recorded consecutive top-four finishes in Midland Football League Division Three in 2021–22 (4th) and 2022–23 (3rd).[3]

Ahead of the 2023–24 season, the Midland Football League published a Division Three preview noting that Dean Newman had been appointed first-team manager, joining from Silhill F.C., as the club aimed to secure promotion.[4]

In 2023–24, AFC Solihull won Midland Football League Division Three, finishing with 80 points from 32 matches and scoring 101 goals.[5] The club were promoted to Division Two for the following season.[3][1]

AFC Solihull play their home matches at Rumbush Lane, Solihull, through a partnership arrangement with Leafield Athletic F.C.[1]
