AFGL 4106, also known as HD 302821 is a binary star in the constellation Carina. The system consists of a post-red supergiant and a smaller, less evolved supergiant. The system is also surrounded by a large circumstellar envelope.[2]

Physical characteristics

AFGL 4106 contains two supergiants in different stages of evolution. The primary, an A-F type supergiant, has a radius of 209±12 R, while the secondary, a post-RSG M-type star, has a larger radius of 567±99 R.[2]
