Public health advocacy
During the 2025 monsoon season, Chaudhary warned of a spike in hepatitis A and E cases in Delhi. In an interview with India Today, he said there was a 40% increase in acute viral hepatitis cases seen at his hospital’s outpatient department over three.[12] He emphasised that many patients were unaware of the need for hepatitis vaccination and highlighted the dangers of self‑treating jaundice, warning that delayed diagnosis could lead to life‑threatening complications. The New Indian Express quoted him urging citizens to maintain hygiene and vaccination, noting that his hospital had seen a 40 percent rise in acute viral hepatitis cases and that hepatitis A and E were largely preventable diseases.[13] Speaking on World Hepatitis Day in July 2025, Chaudhary told The Times of India that most patients were unaware of hepatitis vaccination and that hepatitis E can be fatal during pregnancy and hepatitis A can cause acute liver failure requiring transplant.[14]
