History

Absolute Label Services was founded in 1998 by Henry Semmence as Absolute Marketing & Distribution. In 2015, the company rebranded as Absolute Label Services as part of an expansion of its label services offering.[1]

In February 2022, the company was acquired by Swiss music technology firm Utopia Music as part of its expansion into label services.[2][3]

In July 2023, Utopia Music sold Absolute Label Services back to its original directors following a restructuring of the company’s business operations.[4][5]

Technology

Absolute Label Services operates a business management platform known as Anthology. The platform provides tools for release management, analytics, reporting and rights administration for independent labels and artists.[6]
