Adrian Jstn (born April 30, 2004) is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and businessman. He is known for his work in musical theater, film, and independent music, as well as for founding the arts and culture publication Seventy7 Magazine. In September 2024, he was recognized by DeKalb County, Georgia, with an official proclamation honoring his contributions to arts access and community development.[1][2][3][4][5]

Early life and education
Adrian Jstn was born on April 30, 2004, in Decatur, Georgia, and was raised primarily in Atlanta. His upbringing in Atlanta played a central role in shaping his artistic identity and cultural perspective. He was introduced to music through church at the age of five and began working professionally in the performing arts at the age of eight.[6][7]
Jstn attended multiple elementary schools during his childhood, including Idlewood Elementary School. He later attended DeKalb Preparatory Academy before completing middle school at Memorial Middle School in Conyers, Georgia. He graduated from Heritage High School Performing Arts in Conyers in 2022.[8]
In 2023, Jstn enrolled at the Norwalk Conservatory, where he studied musical theater in an associate degree program. During his time at the conservatory, he became the institution’s first student body president and founded the school’s official podcast.
Career
Early career and musical theater
Jstn began his career as a child model before transitioning into classical vocal training as a member of the Atlanta Young Singers. At the age of 13, he performed at Carnegie Hall as part of the ensemble.[9]
He later expanded into musical theater, working professionally in regional productions throughout the Atlanta area and beyond. His stage credits include Motown the Musical, A Soulful Christmas, and Hype the Musical, in which he was an original cast member.[10]
In 2024, Jstn appeared Off-Broadway as a member of the Drifters ensemble in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Gateway Playhouse.[11]
Film
In 2023, Jstn appeared in the feature film adaptation of The Color Purple, in which he was credited as a townsperson. This marked his first official film credit.[12]
Music career
Jstn is an independent recording artist. He released his debut extended play, The Coronation, on May 30, 2025. The project was distributed across major digital streaming platforms and marked his first formal release as a solo artist.[13]
Entrepreneurship and publishing
Jstn is the founder of Seventy7 Magazine, an arts and culture publication focused on providing visibility and resources for emerging Black creatives. The magazine operated under JstnHQ, a creative holding company encompassing his artistic and business ventures.[14][15][16]
In September 2024, DeKalb County CEO Michael L. Thurmond issued an official proclamation recognizing Adrian Jstn and Seventy7 Magazine for their contributions to arts access and community engagement, declaring September 11 as Adrian Jstn and Seventy7 Magazine Day in DeKalb County.[17]
Seventy7 Magazine ceased publication on January 1, 2026.
Philanthropy
Through Seventy7 Magazine, Jstn launched a community initiative known as Seventy7 Cares. In late 2024, the initiative hosted a toy drive benefiting children in need. In early 2025, clothing donations collected through the initiative were distributed to individuals affected by California wildfires.[18]

Jstn’s work draws influence from artists including Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Patti LaBelle, Brandy, B-Slade, D’Angelo, Jill Scott, Lalah Hathaway, and Kim Burrell. His artistic output frequently centers on themes of self-expression, Southern Black culture, and creative empowerment.[19]
As a performer, he is noted for his musical ear and technical control, emphasizing breath control, ensemble awareness, and vocal precision in live performance.
