Advance Motion Picture Company (AMPC) was a film company founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1911. It ceased operations in 1919.[1]
Barker-Swan Service merged into it.[2][3]
Edwin Barker, an executive at the company, was African American.
George L. Cox and Alvin B. Giles worked for the company. Cinematographers included Eugene Newman, Columbus D. Behan, and Clarence W. Hutton.[1]

C. W. Hutton became president of the company and A. H. Shields Secretary while Barker was Treasurer and General Manager.[citation needed]
Barker's film company became involved in ill fated production of Birth of a Race.[4][5]
