Albert Bikaj (born 21 June 1995) is an Albanian scholar and translator from Montenegro.[1]

He is the author of Zanafilla e mendimit kombëtar: diskursi i humanistëve arbënorë gjatë Renesancës, a work that explores the Medieval origins and development of Albanian national thought from a historical and intellectual perspective.[2]

Biography

Bikaj studied International Relations and Diplomacy at the University of Donja Gorica and later completed a Master of Science in Medieval History at the University of Zagreb. His academic interests include Albanian studies, intellectual history and political philosophy.[3] He has written for various international outlets like The European Conservative, New Liturgical Movement[4], Reasarch Institute for Politics and Government, Voegelien View[5], etc. and has co-authored the political manifesto of the Democratic Party of Albania.[6]

During 2014-2023 he was editor in chief of the Montenegrin Albanian cultural magazine Kallnori.org.[7] He has served as a columnist on religion and philosophy for the British grassroot think tank Orthodox Conservatives.[8]

In addition to his original writing, Bikaj is active as a translator into Albanian. His translations include Roger Scruton’s The Need for Nations, Isaiah Berlin’s The Hedgehog and the Fox, Joseph Ratzinger's Doctrinal Note on Some Questions Regarding the Participation of Catholics in Political Life.[9]
