Growing up in Montreal, Tchukharev explored both traditional and digital forms of art, developing skills in illustration, visual composition, and video production. Alongside drawing and painting, he began creating short films and visual projects, combining elements of narrative, design, and cinematography. Projects

Tchukharev has worked on numerous creative projects, both independently and through school-related productions. Among these are two short films titled Les Heures Perdues and Suite. In Les Heures Perdues (French for “The Lost Hours”). The project reflects his interest in visual storytelling and atmosphere, focusing on themes of time, reflection, and personal perspective. As a filmmaker, he oversaw much of the creative direction of the production, contributing to the film’s narrative structure, visual style, and overall presentation.

Les Heures Perdues is a short film in which Alexander Tchukharev contributed in several key production roles. The film follows Gabrielle, who begins to notice unusual gaps in time following the funeral of her father. As days pass and letters accumulate, her perception of reality gradually shifts, while those around her appear unaware of the strange changes occurring in her life. The film explores themes of memory, grief, and the passage of time through a surreal narrative structure. Tchukharev served in multiple roles during the production, including writing, visual effects directing, practical effects directing, and editing the film, contributing significantly to both its narrative development and technical presentation. The film was screened as part of the Multiples dimensions program at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal in August 2025.[1][2]
