History
Algonomy was formed through the merger of two retail technology firms:
- Manthan Software – A Bengaluru-based cloud analytics and AI company.
- RichRelevance – A San Francisco-based experience personalization platform.
On November 5, 2019, the two companies announced a joint go-to-market strategy and a path toward consolidation.[2] The merger was completed on January 19, 2021, and the combined entity was rebranded as Algonomy.[3]
In January 2022, Algonomy acquired Linear Squared, a Colombo-based AI firm specializing in demand planning and forecasting, to strengthen its supply chain capabilities.[4][5]
Leadership
Atul Jalan, founder of Manthan Software, serves as the founder and CEO of Algonomy.
Notable Partnerships
- Grupo Comercial Chedraui (September 2025): Algonomy’s Active Content Works Alongside Grupo Comercial Chedraui to Drive Dynamic Content Personalization of its Marketing Campaigns.[6]
- Databricks (January 2026): Announced a "Built On" collaboration with Databricks for AI-led retail planning, including demand forecasting and assortment optimization.[7]
