The company was founded in 1996 in Noida, India which manufactures pre-coated steel, coil coatings, polymer-based industrial materials[5], metal pre-treatments, and composite materials used in construction, automotive, and packaging sectors for industrial applications with four manufacturing facilities based out of India and South Africa.[6][2]

The company and its technology received a patent for carbon-capturing colour‑coated steel sheets[7] with carbon-negative textiles for sustainable growth[8], filed in 2018 in San Francisco, USA.[4][9] Dr Shubh Gautam, Founder and Chief Technical Architect of American Precoat Srisol Group[7], has received the patent under his name for Indian Patent No. 441784, under the title “Novel Nanocomposites and Processes for Making Them”.[10]

American Precoat has estableshed India’s first and only fully integrated electro-galvanized (EG) steel manufacturing plant in Valsad, Gujarat. This facility enabled the domestic production of corrosion-resistant steel for institutions and corporations that were previously imported earlier and localized advanced manufacturing supply chains in India.[11][12][13]

Research and technology

In 2018, the patent 441784 was granted to Dr Shubh Gautam of American Precoat Srisol Group for a nano‑composite polyester‑based coating applied to colour‑coated steel sheets.[14] The coating enables steel sheets used in roofing and cladding to absorb atmospheric carbon dioxide, temporarily retain it, and then release it when the surface is washed by rain or cleaning, allowing the process to repeat.[15] The coating is designed to be applied using existing coil‑coating processes to integrate carbon‑capture functionality into standard construction products.[16]
