Amy Brady is a nonfiction author. Her first book, Ice: From Mixed Drinks to Skating Rinks--a Cool History of a Hot Commodity, was published by G.P. Putnam's Sons in 2023.[1] She is also co-editor of the essay anthology, The World As We Knew It: Dispatches from a Changing Climate, published by Catapult in 2022.[2]

Brady was the first female executive director and publisher of Orion Magazine.[3] Prior to becoming publisher of Orion, she served as editor-in-chief of the Chicago Review of Books.[4]
