Archibald Kwame Colgan (born July 22, 1995) is an American professional mixed martial artist. He is currently competing in the Lightweight division of the Professional Fighters League (PFL), where he is the third ranked contender.[1]. He formerly competed in the Bellator MMA promotion where he was also a ranked contender[2], as well as in the Eagle FC and Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA). He competed as a Division 1 wrester for the University of Wyoming where he was a four year starter and a 2018 Big XII champion.[3] He and teammate Bryce Meredith were the first Big XII champions [4] for the Wyoming Cowboys wrestling program. Colgan is also a wrestling coach at Colorado's premier wrestling club, the Mile High Wrestling Club.

Background
Colgan was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado to Ed and Josephine Colgan. He grew up in Westminster, Colorado and attended Pomona High School in neighboring Arvada. Colgan's mother hails from Ghana and his middle name "Kwame" corresponds to the day of the week he was born on, in accordance with the tradition of the Fante people. He has an older sister Jasmine and an older brother Eamonn. He followed his brother into wrestling at the young age of 4. From that early age, he showed an interest and aptitude in wrestling. He continued competing in the sport through high school and was a multiple time state placer as well as state champion for the Pomona Panthers. He also competed throughout the US in high school and was a mutiple time high school All-American.[5][6]
NCAA Wrestling Career
Colgan was a standout wrestler at the University of Wyoming. He was a 4 year starter and won over 110 varsity matches. He was a Big XII champion at 157 pounds in 2018[4]. He qualified for the NCAA tournament twice[7][8]. His highest finish was in the 2017 blood round at 157 pounds[7]. During his career at Wyoming he represented the Wyoming Wrestling Regional Training Center and was the 2015 UWW Junior Freestyle national champion, capturing the title with a finals win over Alec Pantaleo[9]
MMA Career
Colgan began his MMA career in the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) in 2021. After a short stint there, he moved to Bellator in 2021 and transitioned to the PFL when the PFL and Bellator merged.

Colgan resides in Northglenn, Colorado with his wife Teslin and their children Quentin, Kanan and Quaye. In his free time, he enjoys smoking food.
