The authority was established in 2018 under the name "High Commission for the Development of Aseer Region" before being later renamed to "Aseer Development Authority".
Administration
Aseer Development Authority is organizationally linked to the Council of Ministers, in accordance with Article 3 of the Regulation of Regional and City Development Authorities issued by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 475 dated 05/07/1439H.
