He is a holder of a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in History from the University of Buea, a Master’s in International Relations from the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC), and he is also pursuing a PhD at a leading foreign university inorder to deepen his knowledge in governance and development (as of his candidacy).^[2]

Ateki Seta Caxton is vice-president of the Parti de l’Alliance Libérale (PAL).In July 2025, PAL held a special congress and invested him as its presidential candidate for the October 2025 election.He officially submitted his candidacy to ELECAM, the electoral commission, on 18 July 2025.However, in September 2025, the PAL announced that he would withdraw in favor of a unified opposition candidate, framing it as a strategic move for “the greater good” against the long-standing system.^[5]
