Barbara Milano (born Annabelle Ramos) is a Filipino actress and former local politician. She became known in Philippine cinema in the late 1990s and early 2000s as one of the actresses who appeared in a number of erotic or "bold" films. She later entered public service and served as a municipal councilor in Talavera, Nueva Ecija.[1]

Career

Milano began her career in the Philippine film industry during the late 1990s and appeared in several films that were part of the "bold" genre popular during that period. Among the films she appeared in were Favorite Subject: Sex Education (1999), Masarap Habang Mainit (2000), Tikim (2001), Kaulayaw (2002), Eskandalosa (2002), Biglang Liko (2002), Sex Files (2002), Biyahera (2002), and Virgin People III (2002).[2]

Political career

In the 2004 Philippine local elections, Milano ran for municipal councilor in Talavera, Nueva Ecija. She won the position and was reported to have placed first among the winning candidates for councilor in the municipality.[3]

After her term, Milano attempted to return to politics in later elections but was unsuccessful in regaining a seat in the municipal council.[4]
