Beyond The Stars Dance is a United States Dance Competition and Convention that was founded by Ginny Faubell and Nikki Katona in 2005,[1] and is a member of the organization OneBeat Dance Brands.[2]

Competition structure
Beyond The Stars produces many regional competitions across the united states, and holds three National Final events at Cincinnati, OH, Cape May, NJ, and Poconos, PA.[3] Regional and National events operate under United States Dance Regulators (USDR) standards for age groups, categories, division sizes, and time limits.
Age groups
- Mini - Dancers ages 6 and under
- Petite - Dancers ages 7-9
- Junior - Dancers ages 10-12
- Teen - Dancers ages 13-15
- Senior - Dancers ages 16-18
- Adult - Dancers ages 20 and up [4]

Divisions
- Solo - 1 dancer
- Duo/Trio - 2-3 dancers

Time limits
- Solo - 2 minutes, 45 seconds
- Duo/Trio - 2 minutes, 45 seconds
- Small Group - 3 minutes
- Large Group - 4 minutes
- Line - 4 minutes, 30 seconds
- Production - 8 minutes [4]
Performance levels
Beyond the stars offers 3 levels of competition. [5]
- Novice Level: For dancers with very limited to no competition experience, and whom train less than three hours per week. Novice level dancers may compete only 1 solo and in no more than 5 routines.
- Intermediate Level: For dancers with limited competition experience and train four to five hours per week. Intermediate level dancers may compete no more than 2 solos and in no more than 8 routines.
- Advanced Level: For dancers who train six or more hours per week. Dancers in the advanced division may compete an unlimited number of solos and routines. To be eligible for the National Opening Number and cash prize awards, dancers must be in the advanced division.
- Spirit Level: Reserved for dancers who have a physical, sensory, or mental disability.[4]
Awards
This competition offers awards a trophy for every solo, duo, and trio with their adjudication. Dancers are also eligible for OneBeat Dance Dollars or cash prizes in all three levels. [6]
Dance convention
Each Fall, there are Beyond The Stars Conventions that are one day long and offer five class styles at two age levels. [6]

Beyond The Stars is a participating member of the Industry Dance Awards (IDA).[1]
