Binny Mathews (Born 1960) is an English artist known for her Landscape and Portrait artworks.[1]

Early Life and Education

Binny Mathews was born in Dorset, England, into a family with established artistic connections.[2] Her uncle, Anthony Mathews, was a prominent artist and publisher.[3]Mathews began painting in early childhood and later pursued formal art education at Farnham.[2]

Career

In 1981, at the age of 21, Mathews was appointed Artist in Residence at Oakham School. [4] During her tenure, she instructed students who later achieved professional recognition in the arts.

Following her residency, Mathews relocated to London, where she established a career as a portrait painter. Her portfolio includes commissions for a diverse range of public figures and professionals, including: Donald Swann, Theo Fennell, John Illsley, Raymond Seitz, Dame Stella Rimington. [2] [5]

Mathews eventually returned to Dorset, where she continues to operate a practice serving clients throughout the United Kingdom and internationally. [2]
