Boris Petrovich Gattenberger was an officer of the Imperial Russian Army and later served in the White Army during the Russian Civil War. He was born in 1892 and died on 14[27] September 1919.[1]

He served in the 13th Life Grenadier Erivan Regiment [2] and was a recipient of a St. George award for his bravery during World War I.[3]
According to regimental accounts, he died by suicide after the Battle of Peregonovka on 14[27] September 1919.[1]
