Adrielle Bow Belle is an American singer-songwriter, performer, and music educator based in Harlem, Manhattan.[1] She is known for her politically conscious lyricism, genre-blending sound, and autobiographical storytelling.[2] Her music incorporates elements of pop, R&B, neo-soul, hip hop, blues, jazz, and folk.[3]

Bow Belle first gained recognition with her 2017 debut single "Runaway," inspired by her experiences escaping an abusive home and navigating the foster care system.[1] She later received broader attention for her 2026 protest ballad "Icey Roads."[4]

Early life and background

Bow Belle was raised primarily in Southern California and moved frequently throughout her childhood.[1] At age 17, she ran away from an abusive home and was detained by police, leading to her placement in the foster care system.[1]

Her experiences in foster care, including aging out of the system at 18, were later profiled in publications such as Foster Nation and Foster Focus Magazine.[1] She relocated to New York City on her 18th birthday.[1]

Bow Belle attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), where she majored in Classical Voice and Musical Theater.[1]
