Early life and education
Gladman was born to Albert Gladman and Eva Coralie Gladman (née March). He studied science and engineering in London, beginning with the Associate of the Royal College of Science (ARCS) in July 1964 and completing a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Physics the following month. He later earned a PhD from the University of London in December 1975 and finished the Diploma of Membership of the Imperial College in Electrical Engineering in August 1976.[1]
