  • Comment: I do not think it is standalone notable. Also, it has an entry in List of Roblox games#Brookhaven RP. If there is anything missing from that entry, it should be merged in. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 09:01, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
  • Comment: @Zxcvbnm Don't think about merging it in, just leave it alone unless you or anyone else wants to help me find more notable references because it's unfortunately the best I tried. MrDevolver (talk) 09:16, 8 November 2025 (UTC)

Gameplay

Unlike many Roblox games that rely on complex "grinding" or combat mechanics, Brookhaven is a "town and city" sandbox.[4] Players are given the freedom to customize their avatars and adopt various social roles, such as students, medical professionals, or law enforcement.[5] The game world features an open-ended structure where users can claim various housing types, ranging from modest apartments to expansive mansions, without the requirement of in-game currency for basic assets.[3]

The environment consists of a fictional town containing essential infrastructure, including schools, banks, hospitals, and grocery stores.[6] Interaction is a core mechanic; players often utilize the game's vehicle dealership—offering cars, boats, and skateboards—to navigate the map and participate in community-driven events.[5] Additionally, a pet system allows players to adopt animals to accompany them during roleplay.[7] Social dynamics are facilitated through a "family" system, where players can opt to be parents or children, creating emergent narratives within the game's "pretend life" framework.[8]

Reception

Brookhaven is noted for its accessibility and has been praised by organizations like Common Sense Media for its ease of use and diverse representation.[6] Its massive player base has led to significant industry recognition, including nominations for "Favorite Video Game" at the 2022 and 2023 Kids' Choice Awards.[9] At the 2025 Roblox Innovation Awards, the game has consistently won in categories such as "Best Roleplay" and "Best Social Hangout".[10]

Statistically, Brookhaven is one of the most successful digital experiences in history. By January 2026, it was reported as the most-visited game on the Roblox platform, exceeding 80+ billion all-time visits and maintaining an average of over one million concurrent players.[11] The game’s acquisition by Voldex was viewed as a landmark deal in the Roblox ecosystem, reflecting the high commercial value of user-generated content (UGC).[12] Continued updates adding new map locations and interactive items have been credited with maintaining the game's long-term retention rates.[8]
