Concours Hippique International de Genève
The Concours Hippique International de Genève [1] (commonly known as CHI Geneva) is an international indoor equestrian competition held annually in December at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland. [2] Classified as a CSI5* event, it includes show jumping, driving and indoor cross-country disciplines.[3]
Founded in 1926, the event is one of the oldest indoor equestrian competitions in the world. The competition moved to the Centre sportif des Vernets in 1975 and has been held at Palexpo since 1991, which hosts one of the largest indoor equestrian arenas in the world. CHI Geneva has hosted the FEI Show Jumping World Cup Finals, notably in 1996 and 2010. [4]
CHI Geneva is one of the four events that make up the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, alongside CHIO Aachen, the Dutch Masters and the Spruce Meadows “Masters”.[5]
Competitions
The programme features several major international classes in show jumping, including the IJRC Top 10 Rolex Final, as well as driving and indoor cross-country events. [6]
U25 competitions Since 2019, CHI Geneva has hosted a CSI U25 category dedicated to riders under the age of 25. This category includes three competitions sponsored by Range Rover: the Range Rover Prize, the Range Rover Cup, and the Range Rover Grand Prix. [7]
