Background and promotion
The first single, "Curse Us," was released on 6 September 2020; it was followed by "The Rats," released shortly before the album's release, on 2 October 2020. Later, a music video for the single "Lights Out" was released, on 4 June 2021.[3][4] The record was seen as versatile, having integrated slam and death metal into the beatdown within an apocalyptic setting.[5]
Critical reception
V13 gave the album a positive review, describing it as a blend of visceral deathcore and the brutal atmosphere of early Slipknot.[1] Ox-Fanzine highlighted the album's excellent production and the variety the record manages to provide with blast beats, groove sections, and tempo changes.[5]
