Comment: Under WP:BASIC the subject needs three independent and reliable sources to give the full story of this subject. None are present. It would be unusual for someone with this career path to have an article in Wikipedia, previous articles have been deleted. Notability is not demonstrated. Comment: Most of the scited ources are either primary sources (like UVU) or not primarily about the subject. Work on finding sources that fit all the criteria laid out in WP:RS Jcgaylor (talk) 02:41, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
Early life and education
Pulver grew up in Utah and developed an early interest in drumming. While in school, a teacher encouraged him to channel constant tapping into percussion, a story later depicted in his short film Be a Mr. Jensen.[4] Pulver's original career ambition was to become a pilot. He was diagnosed with an eye disease that ended that dream.[5] He studied communication at Utah Valley University (UVU), where he participated in campus leadership positions, including service as a Presidential Leader, UVU Ambassador, and student body vice president, as well as founding the Green Man Group.[6] Pulver later directed the Utah Jazz drumline.[7][8][5]
Career
Music and entertainment
Pulver began his career as a drummer while attending Utah Valley University, where he founded the Green Man Group, a percussion performance ensemble inspired by the Blue Man Group.[9] He later directed the drumline for the NBA's Utah Jazz until 2015.[7] Pulver worked professionally as a percussionist and was lead percussionist for the “Bald Man Bongos” act that auditioned for America's Got Talent in 2014.[10] He appeared as Elder Kestler in the 2016 film Saturday's Warrior.[11]
Speaking and consulting
Pulver transitioned from performing to keynote speaking, emphasizing themes of leadership, mentorship, generational connection, workplace culture, and employee retention.[6][12][5][13] In 2018, he was profiled in Utah Valley BusinessQ’s “40 Under 40” list as the founder of Clint Pulver Entertainment[6]
In a 2020 feature in Utah Valley Magazine, he described how his experience with the Green Man Group influenced his approach to speaking, explaining that both required rhythm, timing, and connection with audiences. The interview traced his path from live performance to professional speaking engagements across the United States, culminating in recognition as an Emmy Award–winning speaker.[12]
Pulver’s keynote work centers on employee engagement and workplace culture, often emphasizing the role of mentorship in retention and leadership development. He has presented for audiences in education, business, and industry conferences, as well as school and youth programs.[14][15][16][17] His work is cited in HR discussions about mentorship and retention.[18] Pulver has appeared in interviews and podcasts discussing his research and book.[19][20]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pulver represented a major shift professional speakers had to make toward virtual presentations. His approach to building a high-quality in-home video studio and adapting live keynote material for online audiences helped the speaking industry transition to COVID relations.[21]
In 2025, Pulver was inducted into the National Speakers Association’s CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame, the organization’s highest professional honor recognizing excellence and influence in the field of public speaking.[3]
Writing
Pulver’s writing blends elements of leadership, mentorship, and personal storytelling. His work frequently centers on themes of belonging, trust, and belief, which he also explores in his speaking career.[22][23][24]
Pulver's 2021 leadership book I Love It Here draws on research interviews with employees and executives to examine how effective leaders create workplace cultures where people choose to stay rather than leave. The book was accompanied by The I Love It Here Workbook (2022), designed as a practical guide for managers to apply its principles in retention and team-building.[22][23][25]
In addition to his leadership writing, Pulver has produced works emphasizing faith and family. His children’s book Always Believe (2021) was inspired by a family story involving a vintage Santa painting and a message written for his future children. The book and its origins were profiled in Utah Valley Magazine’s 2021 “Holiday Miracles” feature, which described how the experience shaped his broader message about kindness and helping others “believe.”[26]
