Clive Rosfield (クライヴ・ロズフィールド, Kuraivu Rozufīrudo) is a fictional character from the 2023 video game Final Fantasy XVI.

The game's main playable character, Clive is introduced as the disinherited son of the Rosarian royal family, but following an invasion from a neighboring kingdom he is forced into a life of slavery.

At The Game Awards 2024, Clive was announced to be joining the playable roster of Tekken 8 as a guest character, becoming the second Final Fantasy character to appear in the Tekken series following Noctis's appearance in Tekken 7.[1]
In 2025, Clive appeared on an episode of Death Battle where he fought against Dante from the Devil May Cry series, and won.
Reception
Game Informer named Clive as the best new gaming protagonist of 2023.[2]
The character's appearance in Tekken 8 drew mixed responses from audiences, who had previously campaigned for Tifa Lockhart to join the roster instead.[3]
Ben Starr's performance was positively received, earning him a nomination for Best Performance at The Game Awards 2023.
