It was inaugurated in 2020,[1] and held entirely online for both the 2020 and 2021 events due to COVID-19 restrictions.[2] Since 2022 it has been hosted face-to-face in a number of countries, including Thailand in 2022 and 2023,[3][4] and Taiwan in 2024 and 2025.[5][6]

Background
ContentAsia is a Singaporean media company, founded in 2006, that produces news reports and analysis on industries such as business, entertainment, and production.[7] These reports take the form of both print and online media, and are aimed at both executives and management of TV-channels and streaming services, and government agencies.[8] ContentAsia's products include web and print articles, a digital newsletter, and a directory of important figures and companies in the entertainment industry.[8] ContentAsia is associated with Pencil Media Pte Ltd.[9]
The ContentAsia Summit is an annual conference of Asian media figures that was established in 2009.[10][11][12]
