History

Copernicus Studios was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Halifax, with additional operations in Los Angeles.[3] The company initially focused on animation production services for international clients before expanding into original content development.[4]

Productions

The studio has contributed animation to television series, feature films, and digital media projects, including work on Teen Titans Go!, which is produced by Warner Bros. Animation for Cartoon Network.[5]

In the 2020s, Copernicus Studios began developing original intellectual property.[6][7]. Its first original animated series, Lana Longbeard, premiered on CBC Gem in 2024[8].

The studio also developed a companion video game for the series as part of a broader strategy to expand into multiplatform content.[9]
