Daniel Marrujo
Daniel Marrujo (born 1983) is an American technology executive and podcast host. He has held leadership roles at the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA)[1][2] and is the president of Trusted Strategic Solutions[3], a consulting firm focused on semiconductor and national security policy. He is also the host of the Micro Journeys Podcast.
Early Life and Education
Marrujo was born in Elk Grove, California. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, a masters degree in material science and a minor in physics[4][5].
Career
Marrujo began his career at Raytheon Missile Systems[6] as an electrical engineer. In 2009, he joined the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA), a U.S. Department of Defense organization focused on secure microelectronics. He later served as the agency’s Chief Strategy Officer from 2018 to 2020.
In 2020, Marrujo became president of Trusted Strategic Solutions, a consulting firm advising on semiconductor strategy and national security.


Micro Journeys Podcast

Marrujo is the creator and host of the Micro Journeys Podcast, which features interviews on technology and national security topics. The podcast has been included in industry podcast rankings[7] and received a Signal Award in 2025[8].
Philanthropy and Advisory Work
He founded the Marrujo Foundation[9][10], which supports research and education in astronomy and astrophysics. He serves on advisory boards including the Midwest Microelectronics Consortium, Staccato, BMNT[11], Menlo Micro[12] and the Greater Sacramento Economic Council[13].
Marrujo also serves on the Presidents Council of Advisors to the President of California Polytechnic State University[14].
Personal Life
Marrujo is an American citizen and lives in Sacramento, California. He is an avid reader, enjoys deep space astrophotography and is a fitness enthusiast.
