DeAna Fai (born Ashlee Deanna Faison; October 31, 1985) is an American R&B and pop-soul singer, songwriter, music supervisor, and producer. Her songs are synchronized in feature films as the trailer and soundtrack music on Lifetime, BET, The CW, Tubi, and others alongside actors Bill Bellamy, Tamala Jones, Tatyana Ali, Jesse Kove, Erica Hubbard, Omar Gooding, and Taja V. Simpson. She is also the founder of Oxymoron Music Entertainment and is the host, executive producer and music supervisor of "DeAna Fai presents Kings and Queens of Entertainment" starring Claudia Jordan, Rodney Perry, Lady Luck (rapper) and others.

Early life and education
Fai was born in Orlando, Florida and raised in Hampton, Virginia. She performed the song "Sing A Song for Love," alongside other children which became a featured song for the Healthy Families Partnership. Her song, "City of Hope" aired on Radio Disney after a local live performance for children with cancer at the City of Hope National Medical Center.
She was a graduate of Bethel High School in Hampton, VA. In 2015, the Daily Press published an article about Fai as a playback singer in the Romantic comedy My Favorite Five produced by Paul D. Hannah and Angela White.
Fai has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Pre-Med from Norfolk State University[1] and a Masters in Healthcare Delivery Science from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta.
Career
Fai's early synchronization work includes My Favorite Five, a 2015 feature film starring Brian Joseph White, Rochelle Aytes, Omar Gooding, Erica Hubbard, and DeRay Davis.[2] In 2018, Fai earned synchronization credits with "Grown Woman" in Hey, Mr. Postman!, starring Liana Mendoza, Rodney Perry, Paula Jai Parker, and Omar Gooding. In 2019, she wrote and performed the songs "Perfectly Single" and "Selfie" for the trailer and film of Perfectly Single, starring Erica Hubbard, Omar Gooding, Torrei Hart, Joe Torry, J. Alphonse Nicholson, which was produced by Van Elder and Erica Hubbard.[1] In 2020, her song "Unaffected" is heard in the film Puzzled, starring Fonzworth Bentley, directed and produced by Carnetta Jones. During the pandemic in 2020, DeAna Fai was a finalist in the "Quarantine Talent Show" hosted by comedian Loni Love. Her transition from healthcare into the music industry is documented in The Source (magazine).[1]
Fai is also the creator of the podcast series DeAna Fai presents Kings & Queens of Entertainment.[3] The series featured over 60 guests including, but not limited to Dunlap Exclusive, Rodney Perry, Lady Luck, Claudia Jordan, Shanti Lowry, Angelique Bates, Rebecca King-Crews, Tehran Von Ghasri, DJ Pryor, Rosemary Rodriguez, Kenneth Okolie, Stevie Boi , Brandon Broady, and D-Teck.
In 2022, she wrote "Me and Mine", "Two Worlds", "Challenge", and "Christmas Love" for the film Catfish Christmas, starring Tony Todd, Ella Joyce, directed by Victoria Rowell. In 2023, "Christmas Love" was used in the trailer and film for the Lifetime movie The Holiday Proposal Plan starring Tatyana Ali and Jesse Kove which was produced by Jake Helgren and Autumn Federici.[4] In 2024, she was credited as the playback singer for her song "Christmas Love" in the film A Kismet Holiday starring Karen Obilom, Derrick A. King, Kym Whitley, and Lamman Rucker. The film won a Jury Prize at the Essence Film Festival.[5] Fai also is the playback singer of "Christmas Love" in A Heart For Christmas starring Taja V. Simpson, Major., Annie Gonzalez, executive produced by Taja V. Simpson, Maurice Hall, and Tony L. Patterson.
Fai also wrote and performed "Christmas Magic" for the trailer and film in #WorstChristmasEver, starring Bill Bellamy, Tamala Jones, Shanti Lowry, B.J. Britt, and Taja V. Simpson. The film's production was featured by Deadline Hollywood,[6] ABC7 News,[7] and Yahoo! Entertainment.[8]
