Deathroll is a Japanese black metal / heavy metal solo project based in Iwaki, Fukushima. The project was launched by KAZU in 2012 and has released recordings and performed live both domestically and internationally.[1][2]

Overview

Deathroll is a solo black metal project founded by KAZU in 2012. Continuing independent music production and live performances, the project participated in the omnibus CD METAL JAPAN HEAVY CHAINS Vol.3 in 2014. In 2015, the first full-length album Hakai was released via METAL JAPAN RECORDS.

The project subsequently collaborated with overseas labels and continued releasing works. In 2024, the album A Corrupted Angel was released via STF Records. In December of the same year, the track "Storm of Silence" was included on the bonus CD of the German metal magazine Legacy Magazine #154.[3] In 2025, an interview and review were published in the Danish metal magazine Metalized Magazine #157.
