History

Establishment in Belgium (2003)

In 2003 the company was established in Ninove, Belgium. The offices in Ninove were not suitable for manufacturing operations, prompting the company to seek a combined production and office site.

Production relocation to Poland (2014)

Facility in Poland was first established in 2010 and started production in 2014, becoming the design and production centre for the company.[3]

Air Water Inc. and independence (2019-2026)

In 2019 Air Water Inc. purchased 49% of Dohmeyer shares[4]. In 2023 Air Water Inc. increased its shareholdings to 80%[5]. In August 2025 Dohmeyer regained complete independence from Air Water Inc.[6]

Participation in R&D projects

CryoHub (2016-2021)

The CryoHub project was a European Union funded initiative that developed and demonstrated a method of cryogenic energy storage integrated with industrial refrigeration systems. Dohmeyer was one of industrial partners working on the project of the semi-industrial CryoHub demonstrator.[7]
