Smiskis
Smiski are a line of phosphorescent blind box figures that come in blue and green. They usually have round heads with natural facial expressions and are meant to represent little creatures hiding in peoples homes.[1] They were launched in 2015, but gained popularity with Gen Z in the 2020s.
Smiskis currently come in 18 series, all depicting different aspects of life.

Sonny Angels
Sonny Angel is a line of cherub looking figurines that were launched in 2004. The figures were inspired by the doll Kewpie[2] and the name comes from Toru Soeya's nickname of "Sonny". Like Smiski, Sonny Angel was launched in Japan first and geared towards women. First gaining popularity during the 2008 financial crisis, Sonny Angel has also gone viral with Gen Z, particularly on TikTok. This has lead to many Sonny Angels to be highly sought-after and reselling high above their original retail price.[3]
