Corporate structure and history

The United Kingdom company, EBC Financial Group (UK) Ltd, was incorporated on 9 March 2020 as EBC Financial Group Limited and adopted its current name on 29 September 2023.[6] Companies House lists its registered office at The Leadenhall Building, 122 Leadenhall Street, London.[7]

In August 2023, the Financial Commission approved EBC Financial Group as a member. Industry publications Finance Magnates and FinanceFeeds reported that the membership gave the company access to the commission's dispute-resolution framework and compensation fund for eligible complaints.[8][9]

An Australian company under the same brand, EBC Financial Group (Australia) Pty Ltd, has held an active Australian Business Number since 12 May 2017.[10]

Operations

The UK entity states that it provides an execution-only service and offers CFD accounts only to eligible counterparties and professional clients, rather than retail clients.[11] The company's public website says the group offers trading in forex, commodities, indices, stocks and ETFs, and supports MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.[12]

In September 2024, FX News Group reported that EBC had integrated MetaTrader 5 into its trading platform.[13]

As of 2026, the company website stated that the EBC brand was shared by multiple entities, including companies in the United Kingdom, Australia, the Cayman Islands, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Mauritius, Comoros, Cyprus and South Africa.[14]

Partnerships and sponsorships

In February 2024, the University of Oxford's Department of Economics announced that EBC Financial Group would sponsor a 2023 to 2024 edition event in its public engagement series What Economists Really Do, with the sponsorship funds allocated to the department's graduate scholarship scheme.[15] Oxford announced a second sponsored special episode in November 2024,[16] and in October 2025 described a third collaboration with EBC in the same series.[17]

In April 2024, FC Barcelona announced a 3.5-year agreement making EBC its official foreign exchange partner across Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.[18][19]

Also in April 2024, United to Beat Malaria, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, announced a partnership with EBC to support malaria prevention and essential health services.[20]
