Electronic Subculture promotes events across several European cities including London, Paris, Brussels, Lille and Marseille, with programming spanning techno, house, jungle and other underground electronic music styles.
History
Electronic Subculture was established in the early 2020s as a project combining electronic music event promotion with audiovisual documentation of DJ performances.
One of its early productions included the Immersion livestream series at the digital art venue Atelier des Lumières in Paris. Organised in collaboration with Mixmag France, the series featured techno artists Ellen Allien, Recondite and DJ Deep, whose performances were accompanied by large-scale visual projections and broadcast online.[1][2]
Following these productions, Electronic Subculture expanded its activities to include club events and festival programming across Europe.
Events
Events promoted by Electronic Subculture have taken place at venues across Europe including E1 in London, Rex Club, Le Mazette and Kilomètre25 in Paris, La Relève in Lille, Rex de Toulouse, and venues in Brussels.[3][4][5][6]
In 2023 the promoter launched the Electronic Subculture Presents series at the London nightclub E1, featuring artists including Lone, Simo Cell and Ell Murphy.[7]
In April 2024 Electronic Subculture hosted a club night at La Relève in Lille featuring Dutch techno artist KRTM.[8]
Electronic Subculture has also organised events in Belgium. In September 2024 the promoter hosted an open-air event at Château Moderne in Brussels featuring artists including Mézigue and Belaria.[9]
In February 2026 the promoter organised an event at La Fabriek in Brussels featuring Rebekah, Urumi, MYU:SA and Viudark.[10]
Electronic Subculture has also organised club nights in Paris including a Rex Club event in May 2024 featuring Kilimanjaro, Andy 4000, Sabb and IAMBP.[11]

Festival programming
Electronic Subculture has curated stages and programming at electronic music festivals in Europe.
At Utopia Festival 2023, held at Friche Belle de Mai in Marseille, the project curated the Plongeon Underground stage in collaboration with Cabaret Aléatoire. The stage featured artists including CLTX, La Penderie Noire, Caravel, Laze, Benzo, David Bouts, Evander, EXC and Kepler.[13]
Electronic Subculture has also curated programming at Extrema Outdoor Belgium, where it hosted the District 6 stage featuring artists including Kitty Amor, Sef Kombo, Leroy Styles, Edson Cesar, Romy Janssen and Nina Noën.[14]
Media and audiovisual productions
Alongside event promotion, Electronic Subculture produces recorded DJ performances and livestream sessions distributed through digital platforms including YouTube and SoundCloud.
These recordings document performances from club events, festival stages and curated audiovisual sessions. Some productions have taken place in visually distinctive cultural spaces such as Atelier des Lumières in Paris and the Submarine Base of Bordeaux, where performances have been filmed within immersive visual environments.
