The 2021 angel round was led by ah! Ventures, its 23rd investment of that year. Prior to this round, the company had raised Rs 1.5 crore and reported consistent year-on-year growth, with a 3X growth rate over three years according to the company.[3]

Infrastructure mapping

Enercomp provides UAV-based mapping and analysis for buildings, roads and railways, power-line feasibility studies, hydrology and watershed analysis, roads and utilities planning, and slum mapping. Energy and utilities

Heritage and archaeology

Enercomp has been commissioned by the Maharashtra Department of Archaeology to execute a large-scale survey and documentation project for State Protected Monuments across Maharashtra — one of the most extensive heritage digitisation projects undertaken using drone technology in India.[4]

The project covers 151+ monuments across three divisions — Pune, Ratnagiri, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar — encompassing forts, temples, wadas, samadhis, caves, tombs, and prehistoric sites.

Enercomp's scope of work for this project includes:

  • DGPS (Differential GPS) Survey — to establish accurate ground control points and geo-referenced spatial frameworks
  • Aerial Drone Photogrammetry — high-resolution imagery for 3D models and topographical maps of monument exteriors
  • Terrestrial LiDAR Survey — laser scanning for complex geometries, interiors, and vegetation-obscured areas, generating dense point clouds

Digital deliverables produced include orthomosaic maps, DSM/DTM, contour maps, 3D textured models, point cloud data, architectural drawings (plans, elevations, and sections in DWG/CAD and physical formats at A0/A2/A3 scale), detailed archaeological reports, cadastral and land-use maps, and walkthrough videos generated from LiDAR data. All project data is hosted on a custom web-based data management dashboard developed by Enercomp, enabling remote access, 2D/3D data overlay, measurement tools, and before/after conservation monitoring.

Land records and Mojani (Maharashtra)

Enercomp has participated in a proof-of-concept (PoC) initiative with the Maharashtra Land Records Department to accelerate the resolution of pending Mojani (land survey and measurement) cases using drone technology. Mojani — meaning land surveying in Marathi — traditionally relied on chain surveying methods, which were time-intensive. The department sought to use drones to speed up the turnaround of pending measurement cases and improve accuracy of land boundary demarcation.[5]

Swamitva scheme

The company has participated in the Swamitva (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) project, the Government of India's centrally sponsored scheme to map inhabited land in rural areas using drones and provide property rights cards to rural households.

Defence UAVs

  • BAAZ H8 (also referred to as Raptor H8 "BAAZ") — A multi-purpose combat UAV designed for reconnaissance and direct combat. Specifications include 60-minute endurance and a 45 kg payload capacity.
