Eric tested and demoed Mesa Boogie amps and equipment over the years - once introduced with this description: "This clip[17] features long-time Mesa friend and San Francisco Bay Area session and gigging ace Eric McCann playing his go-to Fender Jazz bass . Eric wrote this riff in the styles of Willie Weeks and the Bay Area's own Tower of Power/Rocco Prestia, showcasing the quick responsiveness of the Subway D800 and the full, round and punchy low-end of the Ultra-Lite 1x15 Cabinets."[18]
Eric is also a Registered Nurse since 1994.[19]
Currently, Eric is performing with April & Monroe Grisman band, The Rowan Brothers,[20] Jesse Lee Kincade,[21] The Real Thang Band,[22] Puro Bandido, Heath De Fount-Haberlin Band, Jon Otis, and the Deep Blue Jam band[23].[24]
