Draft:Eta Lyrids
Meteor shower occurring in May
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Eta Lyrids or Eta Lyrid[3] is a meteor shower originating from C/1983 H1. It is active from 3 May to 14 May, usually peaking around 8 or 9 May. Meteors produced by this shower appear to originate from the constellation Lyra, and up to 3 meteors per hour can be observed at its peak, assuming perfect viewing conditions.[1][2][4][5] The shower is best observed in the Northern Hemisphere,[2] and in the hours before dawn, as its radiant will be higher in the sky.[3]
