Evan Sohn is an American business executive and philanthropist. He is a co-founder and vice president of the Sohn Conference Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research that has raised more than $150 million.[1]

Sohn graduated from the New York University Stern School of Business in 1989.[2]

Career

In 1989, Sohn founded Logix, Inc., a mobile computing company that was acquired by IMS Health in 1998.[2]

From 2020 to 2023, Sohn served as CEO of Recruiter.com, an on-demand recruiting platform that listed on the Nasdaq in 2021.[3] In that role, he was quoted in The Wall Street Journal on U.S. labor market trends.[4]

Sohn has appeared as a labor market commentator on CNBC programs including The Exchange and Squawk Box.[5][6][7]

Sohn Conference Foundation

In 1995, Sohn co-founded the Ira Sohn Research Conference in memory of his brother, who died of cancer at age 29.[8][9] The Sohn Conference Foundation was incorporated in 2006 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.[8]

The conference, now called the Sohn Investment Conference, is held annually at Lincoln Center in partnership with CNBC and has expanded to eleven events in ten countries.[1][10] The foundation funds pediatric cancer research at institutions including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Rockefeller University, and Columbia University Irving Medical Center.[8] As of 2026, the conference series has raised more than $150 million.[1]
