History
FHEA was founded in 1988 by Margaret Fitzgerald, a family nurse practitioner and educator. The company initially provided local exam review sessions before expanding into a national provider of multimedia educational resources.[2]
In 2020, FHEA was acquired by the Colibri Group, an education company backed by private equity firms Gridiron Capital and Parthenon Capital.[3] Following the acquisition, FHEA was integrated into Colibri's healthcare division, which provides continuing education for over one million clinicians.[4]
Programs and accreditation
The company's primary services include certification review courses for exams administered by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).[5]

Founder
The founder, Margaret Fitzgerald, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
