Characters
- Verity Corallan - A warden of the flame. She has 2 false arms from an event in her youth. A no-nonsense leader who tried to help everyone, whether they like it or not.
- Drystan Serah - A warden of the flame, partner of Verity. A affable man with a knack for helping people see the best in others.
- Dare - A mercenary who does not get along well with authority. Generally sarcastic and a loner, but at his core is a good person.
- Captain Corvin Crosse - An officer from Westhold on a mission to acquire a weapon for his country
- Finn Garrison - A mercenary from Valda
- Gregor Thalesen- A childhood friend of Dare's who is organized and helpful.
- Lucien Longshadow - A beastly man with few friends, but confides in Jae.
- Jae Aleissandra - A young woman in the company of Lucien. Good with a sword.
- Tanithe Ashe - Spymaster for the Valdane Counsil and taskmaster for Dare.
