• Captain Corvin Crosse - An officer from Westhold on a mission to acquire a weapon for his country

• Finn Garrison - A mercenary from Valda

• Gregor Thalesen- A childhood friend of Dare's who is organized and helpful.

• Lucien Longshadow - A beastly man with few friends, but confides in Jae.

• Jae Aleissandra - A young woman in the company of Lucien. Good with a sword.

• Tanithe Ashe - Spymaster for the Valdane Counsil and taskmaster for Dare.
