Frontline Wildfire Defense was founded by landscape ecologist Harry Statter in 2017.[2] The company was established to help property owners prepare for and respond to wildfire threats.[2]

In 2025, the company announced a $48 million Series A funding round that included investments by Norwest Venture Partners and the Wyoming Business Council.[7][6][5] Also in 2025, Frontline Wildfire Defense was named to TIME magazine's annual list of best inventions.[4]
