Since its formation in 2010, Funbox Media has published and distributed video games developed by third-party studios across multiple platforms.[3][4] Industry databases document releases spanning console and PC platforms since 2010.[5] Trade press coverage has also reported on the company’s distribution partnerships within the UK retail market.[6][7] Titles published by the company have been released on international digital storefronts including Steam and console marketplaces.[3]

Industry Background (1991–2010)
After over a decade in the Video Film Industry, Barry Hatch entered the video games industry in the early 1990s.
In 1992 he joined Gremlin Graphics as UK Sales Manager and then onto International Sales Manager, a role he held until 1998.[8]
Joining Europress as OEM Sales Manager in 1998, Europress was subsequently acquired by Hasbro.[9]
Following Hasbro’s exit from video games in 2000, Hatch co-founded Digital Worldwide with three former colleagues from Hasbro/Europress.[10]
In 2002, Digital Worldwide was acquired by ZOO Digital Group PLC and renamed ZOO Digital Publishing, with Hatch appointed Managing Director of the publishing division.[11]
In 2006, Barry Hatch purchased ZOO Digital Publishing from the PLC, making it an independent company once again.[11]
In 2008, the company was acquired by US-based Green Screen Interactive, which subsequently rebranded the business as ZOO Games Inc, with Hatch and Stewart continuing to manage operations.[10]
In 2009, following operational and strategic challenges, Hatch and Stewart reacquired the business and renamed it Zushi Games Limited.[2]
During the same period, Barry Hatch served as a director of Urbanscan Limited before resigning in 2009.[12]

Formation of Funbox Media (2010)
On 10 March 2010, Barry Hatch founded Funbox Media Limited.[1]
Shortly after incorporation, Funbox Media acquired the Zushi Games name and certain associated assets.[5][13]
