Overview
Game Guardian operates by attaching to a running process then scanning the scanning memory for any values.[3] Once the values are identified in memory, it can modify them. Unlike mods game guardian works on live memory, meaning changes are temporary. There is a tool in desktop called Cheat Engine, game guardian is similar in many ways but is targeting to the Android market. Android has security restrictions that stop one app from attaching and reading/manipulating other apps memory.[4] Due to this reason it requires root access/superuser access to run, or it requires a virtualized execution environment that allow this access without acquiring root access permission for the entire operating system.[5]
