Founded in 2014 by Scott Jacobs, Jigar Shah, and Matan Friedman, Generate Capital is a San Francisco-based Sustainable Infrastructure Company that builds, owns, operates, and finances projects in power, mobility, waste, water, and agriculture. Operating as a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), it provides "infrastructure-as-a-service" to accelerate the transition to a decarbonized economy. In 2020 the fund had over $1Billion in AUM,[1] making it one of the largest clean energy funds in the world.[2] [3][4]
