So that leaves just one source, with limited information, and we need at least one more, ideally two. Try newspaper obituaries at the time of death. ChrysGalley (talk) 11:39, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

Early Life

George B. Sutton was born on March 13, 1863, in Waverly, New York, to Fredrick M. Sutton and Elizabeth S. Shackleton. His mother was the granddaughter of John Kirkpatrick of New Jersey, who served during the American Revolutionary War.[1]

Sutton’s father owned and operated a billiard parlor in Waverly, where Sutton developed an early interest in cue sports. By the age of eight, he was already handling a cue, often standing on a soapbox in order to reach the billiard table. Growing up around his father’s establishment helped shape his early familiarity with the games of pool and billiards.[1]
