Live Performances
The band first performed live in December 2024, at The Mascara Bar in London[5] and, from late 2025, began playing more frequent live shows[6], notably including supporting Razorlight[7][6] and touring with Seb Lowe[8][6].
They were invited by BBC Introducing's Abbie McCarthy to play one of her Future Karma nights in January 2026[9] and, shortly afterwards, embarked on tour with The Kooks as support for their European Tour 2026[10][6][11][12][13].
In February 2026, they announced their first UK headline tour with dates across the UK and Ireland[14], taking place alongside a number of summer festival appearances[15][16][17][18][19][20].
Radio Interviews
Jen was interviewed on BBC Radio 2 by Edith Bowman on March 19th 2026[21], where she and Antony Genn discussed the Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man soundtrack.
The band were also featured on Jess Iszatt's show on BBC Introducing (London) on March 29th 2026, where they discussed their history, roles in the band and the writing of "Mama, My Heart Is Achin'"[4]. One of the details mentioned is that Kapil also plays drums for Mystery Jets.
Discography
Teardrop
The band's first official release was a cover version of the Massive Attack song, "Teardrop", which features on the "Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man" soundtrack[22]. During press for the release of the film, singer Jennifer Ball was pictured on the red carpet[23][24][25] alongside Martin Slattery and Antony Genn[24], Tom Coll and Carlos O'Connell of Fontaines D.C.[26].
The recording received the seal of approval from Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja, quoted as saying it is the “most sublime, beautiful interpretation of that song that anyone has ever done”[27][1].
The song reached #83 in the UK Official Singles Sales Chart for the week ending 2nd April 2026, and #78 in the UK Official Singles Downloads Chart the same week[28]. It was also in the top 10 most searched songs on Shazam for the UK and Ireland at the end of March 2026[29][30][31].
Mama, My Heart Is Achin'
The first original song released by the band as a single was "Mama, My Heart Achin'"[32], which premiered on BBC Radio 2 on 18th March 2026[33]. The song was released on streaming platforms on March 20th 2026[34], and the video for the song premiered on YouTube on the same date[35].
The song was played again on BBC Radio 6 on Friday 20th March 2026, where DJ Chris Hawkins introduced the band saying "you're about to discover your new favourite band"[36][37].
Both "Mama My Heart Is Achin'" and "Teardrop" were played by Hothouse Flowers' Fiachna Ó Braonáin (standing in for John Creedon) on RTE Radio on 23rd March 2026[38]. It was also placed on the "RTE Recommends" playlist on 30th March[39] and played multiple times on RTE's "Rising Time" show[40][41].
A review of the single in Dork magazine described it as "slow-burning, deeply emotive debut that draws on folk-adjacent storytelling, spectral indie textures and a diaristic lyrical core"[42].
