Its purpose was networking and international collaboration among members.

Predessor Organization
According to one source, the Global Investor Relations Network (GIRN) succeeded the International Investor Relations Federation (IIRF).[1]
The IR Global League also stated, that the International Investor Relations Federation (IIRF) was succeeded by the Global Investor Relations Network (GIRN), and the final IIRF event took place in Tokyo in 2007.[2]
Successor Organization
Based on the same source, the Global IR Forum (GIRF) replaced the Global Investor Relations Network.[1]
The Global IR Forum launched on 18th November 2013.[1]
In November 2015, the Global IR Forum celebrated the best IR programs.[3]
According to the Internet Archive the last usage of globalirforum.org was in 2021[4]
